The Vamps Shoot

The shoot for Vampressa Flora's fashion presented a few challenges. Mainly that much of the background was highly reflective so the subjects melded into it with conventional lighting. That may have worked for the Flock of Seagulls,

but we didn't have a fog machine for the added bounce-back.

The best solution was to isolate the subjects by using the remote flash. Shoot pretty dark and bump the levels back on the computer. (Purist I ain't).

The brief was 'something different' and the method added a certain grunge that suits the 'counter-culture' imagery and the product line - and it makes the 'invasive' background recede.

There is some merchandising to come from the shoot too.
